When the pandemic first hit in NYC, it hit hard, and I was stuck in my apartment for months. I literally didn't leave for any reason for 8 weeks at least. So this was my view. Every day I would do my work out and face the window and see these watertowers, and every day the light and color was different. So I started to create digital paintings of the same scene over and over in different light. I was inspired by Monet, who did a similar thing with is paintings of the Cathedral at Rouen and his haystacks. I think of these as my pandemic paintings and I'm still taking photos of that scene from my window. As the winter approaches and we will most probably be stuck inside again, I suspect I'll return to this subject to create more.
